All retreats run by Vietnam Detox are positioned as preventative fasting or “Fasting for healthy people” events, so I asked you to complete some medical questions.
I want to ensure that participating in a fasting event is safe for you and customize the retreat to your needs. This will support you in getting the maximum benefit from the retreat.
Please schedule a call with me now in Vietnamese (with a translator) or English by clicking this link. This call is an essential part of preparing yourself for the retreat.
Please do not make any travel arrangements before we have had the conversation and you receive a detailed confirmation letter from us.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please get in touch with our Retreat Manager Hoan at +84 935 090 288 or via email at hoan@vietnamdetox.com.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Healthy regards,
Retreat Leader & Founder

Section 1 – Fasting and medication
During fasting, the effects of medication can alter. If you take one or more of the medications listed below, therapeutic fasting under medical supervision can be more sensible or directly indicated.
• Strong anti-blood clotting or blood thinning drugs (Anticoagulants, i.e. Simvastatin) • Anti-water retention drugs (Diuretics) • Anti-Hypertension drugs (i.e. Beta blockers, ACE inhibitors) • Appetite reducers • Laxatives • Hyperthyroidism medication • Blood sugar regulating drugs • Hormone regulating drugs (incl. insulin, cortisone, etc.) • Psychotropics (incl. antiepileptics, neuroleptics and lithium)
Expecting and breastfeeding mothers, people with depressive moods or mental disorders, as well as people who had recent surgery, cannot fast. Please note that oral contraceptives (the pill) may not provide safe protection from pregnancy during fasting. Please speak with your medical consultant, MD or physician and get a medical clearance from your doctor as a precaution.
